Welcome to the 2026 Glen Eira Storytelling Festival.

Stories bring us together. They spark curiosity, deepen understanding and help us make sense of our lives, our communities and the world we share. Whether told through words, music, performance or memory, stories invite us to listen closely and see things differently.

This year’s Festival offers a rich and varied program that celebrates storytelling in all its forms — from conversations with leading writers and historians to playful improvisation, music, multilingual storytelling and events for children and families.

Across libraries, community spaces and Glen Eira Town Hall, you’ll find opportunities to learn, reflect, laugh and connect with others.

There is truly something for everyone, and I encourage you to explore the full program and follow your curiosity.
