A funny and meaningful puppet show for kids, exploring friendship and resilience.
A young owl named Poot Poot is sent to study at Owl School, but he’s not like the other owls and just wants to go home. To do that, he must gain “wisdom”—though he doesn’t know what that means.
On his journey, he meets animals who share their special kinds of wisdom: a wombat shows him persistence, a Lyrebird teaches careful listening, a Kookaburra shares the value of humour, and a platypus shows him it's okay to be different.
Poot Poot learns wisdom isn’t just one thing, but a collection of the little things learned every day. But when a bushfire threatens the Own School, will he pass the final test and save the forest?
Don't miss a magical morning of shadow puppetry, hand puppetry, and storytelling. Please note that the theatre will be completely darkened at some points.
Suitable for ages five and up. Tickets $10. Bookings required.
