Comedians bring their heroes back to life in this live tribute to great comic minds.
Who is your favourite dead comedian? Why do you love them? What would comedic pioneers think of comedy today? Find out why funny people are inspired to pursue a career in funny business.
Join local comedians Francis Greenslade and Andrea Powell, plus guests, as they read and perform material by their comic heroes, bringing essays, routines and sketches to life.
Francis Greenslade has lived in Glen Eira for over 20 years. He is best known for playing a host of different characters on Shaun Micallef’s Mad As Hell and Brian Gross on Winners and Losers.
Andrea Powell has worked in the comedy industry for the past 30 years as a writer, performer, director and educator. She’s written 14 comedies for theatre, for which she’s received awards and nominations, including from Melbourne Fringe and Artrage.
Suitable for ages 18 and up. Tickets $20. Bookings essential.
